Luxor Temple

Like it's pretty crazy when you learn about it.

And then travelers are also going to visit the Aga Khan Mausoleum before continuing on to the Temple of Philae.

So the Temple of Philae was home to the great temples of Isis and Hathor.

And they've done a marvelous job there in Egypt of preserving it.

And they're even working on techniques that I learned about when I was last there to specific compounds that will actually help draw pigments out of the stones and kind of refresh so that you can see the colors that all of these temples were decorated with and that kind of thing.

Yeah, now you're getting to the really crazy, huge temple complexes.

These are the ones they go and film the movies at and you've heard about.

Getting to the Temple of Luxor, you're going to be greeted by this avenue of sphinx statues and just massive monumental columns, just absolutely huge.

Not only were pharaohs represented as sphinxes in art, like on the chest of Tutankhamen, which shows him trampling his enemies, get wrecked mate, and on the arm of Thutmose IV's ceremonial chair, which depicts a very similar scene, but sphinx statues were also placed at temple entrances along the paths leading up to said temples and on major processional avenues.

One of the most famous Sphinx streets, as I'll call them, was the nearly three kilometer or one and a half mile path connecting Karnak and the Luxor Temple.

It was used during major religious ceremonies like the Opet Festival, an annual celebration of divine and royal renewal that took place during the flooding season of the Nile.

And while most Egyptian Sphinxes combined a lion's body with the head of a male pharaoh, that wasn't always the case.

It's

like Luxor when they discovered the Avenue of the Sphinxes and it goes all the way down to Karnak from Luxor Temple.

It was under

sand.

Across the river from the Karnak Temple is a site known as the, um, Hatshepsut Mor- Mortuary Temple.

The hillside surrounding the Hatshepsut Mortuary is another one of these white horse hills, exactly 5,300 meters away from the obelisks within the Karnak Temple, and there's a distance of 2,300 meters of this Sphinx step-down voltage transformer avenue, which is a component that u- that's used to reduce the voltage being allocated into the Luxor Temple.

2,300 meters from the center Avebury into a structure known as the sanctuary.

So there's another application and an interesting phenomenon that happened during lightning strikes.

So why Saturn or why Kronos or Baal Hamon, even stranger? Because Alexander the Great believed himself to be the son of Amun.

Okay, so Alexander the Great went to Luxor and got initiated to the cult of Amun in the Temple of Amun or in Luxor Temple, then went to the Siwa Oasis where the great, what do you call it, Oracle of Amun was in the desert, and he was recognized there by the priesthood.

Then he went and conquered the rest of the known world all the way to India.

So if you're going to invoke any deity as a warrior prince, you want the same deity that Alexander the Great.
