Lux

What a testament to her artistry.

Right? It's like people are finally tuning into the deeper cuts from her album, Lux.

I love that.

Me too, but it raises a question.

It adds depth to her work.

Agreed.

Incorporating thirteen languages in Lux is ambitious and shows her commitment to diversity and artistry.

But doesn't that also risk alienating some listeners? I mean, not everyone will connect with every language.

So, uh, here is what happened.

On Saturday, October 10, Rosalía was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live in an episode hosted by Shane Gillis, and she performed two songs from her, uh, 2025 album, Lux, Reliquia and Magnolias.

According to Billboard, it was her second time as the musical guest.

She came out in a black ballet tutu and stayed en pointe for nearly the entire four minutes of Reliquia, almost completely motionless as she sang.

And I mean, yes.

Let me explain why Reliquia is such a perfect choice.

The song is from Lux, her fourth album, which she recorded in 13 languages and which reached listeners across pop and classical crossover audiences.

NME also notes that Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of Daft Punk co-wrote Reliquia, so you have the song that mixes a huge of cinematic feel with ballet on stage.

Her latest album, Lux, is out now, and she is the musical guest this weekend on Saturday Night Live.

Everyone, please welcome Rosalía! They love you! We love you.

Welcome back to the show.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

We'll go.

Not only was the Lux album huge, I got to say, congrats on the Lux tour.

Sold-out arena around the world.

Absolutely.

And speaking of evolution, Rosalía's multilingual album Lux is also making waves.

She's singing in thirteen languages.

Wow, thirteen languages? That's like a musical passport.

The T-shirt says Hot For God.

So, yeah, Rosalia from her tour this year, the Lux tour.

I saw that tour.

What a

But we know that music consumption has changed over those years since we launched.

And Six Music really has diversified.

So our most played artists back in 2024 was Little Sims, like we've talked about, Ezra Collective, Rosalia debuted Lux on our Breakfast show, which was her UK debut.
