Yeah, outside Saw's base, Benthic Two-Tubes demands that Luthen stop.

Two-Tubes adjusts his blaster and instructs a partisan to search Luthen.

Luthen asks, why all the hubbub? And Two-Tubes tells him Saw is in a mood, and Luthen says, good to know.

Is he never not in a mood?

They're just different moods.

So it is about, it does take place one year before Battle of Yavin during Andor season two.

They have announced that basically the book is about them finding Yavin, or founding Yavin base and why Luthen and Saw don't come.

I feel like I know this story.

Like I saw Andor.

Yeah, now Luthen, like, I think they could do a lot more with Luthen, like...

And Kleia.

He still needs another Rebel, which, granted, there are plenty to choose from that you can bring up into the ranks.

But Luthen's so critical to that team.

It's a huge bollock to lose that mechanic.

They seemed to also laugh and have some fun.

When it's the, it's much harder to make it look like a clean thing when it's coming from Luthen.

And she asks if Vel knows, or if, uh, she asks if Luthen knows.

And Mon replies, some, no, not really.

It puts more things in.

It raises the right questions where you're, like, who is Luthen? Like, okay, so, like, here's this mysterious guy who is part of the early founding of the Rebel Alliance.

We never heard of him before.

But it's like, well, why haven't we heard of him before? The idea of putting more in makes the universe feel larger, and that's the best part.

And Vel says that she understands her cousin shops here.

And then Clea goes, oh, Senator Mothma? Vel asks if they're alone.

And Clea goes into Luthen doublespeak mode and asks if she'd like to buy something for her cousin.

She's been collecting jewelry.

We talked about, um, a, a, a scene in which, uh, the characters are going to a concert where a lot of senators are gonna be there.

And, um, Luthen Rael is talking to Anto Kreegyr in a bar, and they're discussing a heist they wanna pull off.

They wanna rob the concert tour and take the money for the rebellion.

So they're plotting it in a bar.

The Resistance is not charted out in fleet movements and battles.

It's charted out in people who do that thing that Luthen talks about in Andor.

Wouldn't you rather give it all up at once for something real?

Yeah.

And it will be a real treat.

[laughs]

I honestly tear up whenever I'm about to quote Luthen as well.

Luthen landed so many good lines in both seasons of Andor, which once again, without this, which I think is one of the better of the sequel movies, we wouldn't have Andor, or The Mandalorian, or The Bad Batch, or anything that came after.

... you know, the, the, you know, beacons of purity and, and justice and all that, I'm like, "That's so boring." So I'm looking for somebody that's a bit more rough around the edges, a little, like, a little bit more gray in there.

And I know we've talked about this last time too, that someone in, like, recent years that has quickly ascended the ranks of Star Wars characters is Luthen Rael.

Hmm.

Yes, great example.

And sometimes you need people like that who are willing to just, you know, throw themselves into it and do what nobody wants to do but has to be done.

And it obviously ended up working out in everyone's favor because, you know, the Empire was defeated.
