Latuda.

This launched the beginning of the worst 5 month period of my life.

I am unlucky in that my body is particularly susceptible to the side effects of antipsychotics, and even more unlucky that I didn't go in informed regarding these potential effects, so I had no way to explain or categorize them when they started happening.

Peeing all the time.

Damn, I was taking so many bathroom breaks and the increased urination came with a terrible urgency.

I think it's also worth noting that before I was taken off the Latuda, my psychiatrist prescribed me a benzodiazepine that was supposed to help with the side effects.

It only increased them, adding the following.

I remember one off the top of my head.

I was on Latuda.

Let me give you a name you may or may not recall.

If you don't, that's okay.

They tried to, and I told them, if you put me on that, I will spit this medication back in your face.

Because I knew it was what it was doing to girls.

Because they would put my roommate, at the time they had her on Seroquel, Trizodone, Latuda, Benadryl, Melatonin, and Lithium.

as the bipolar symptoms themselves.

And then many doctors will add an antipsychotic like Abilify, Latuda, Zyprexa, Seroquel to your lithium or whatever else you're taking for bipolar.

And the additive side effects of all these medications together can, again, be just as disabling as bipolar disorder itself.

So if you're able to adopt a therapeutic, very clean ketogenic diet or carnivore diet and decrease your bipolar symptoms enough that you can decrease or stop some of these medications with the help of your doctor.
