But those guys were revealing the guts of the documents and the and really staying on the Senate inquiries and that kind of thing.
Joe AstonGUEST

The role I played was I could come in, this is where it's quite deadly, if you've got those guys doing this incredible investigative reporting, then what happens is the principles of the scandal, whether it's the CEO of PwC, Tom Seymour, or the former CEO of PwC, Luke Sayers, these people have to come out, various actors have to come out and explain their version of events.
Joe AstonGUEST
27:56
What the investigative reporters can't do is say what that person just said is illogical, right? That's what I can do, right? So I then come in from rear window and go through what these people are saying or claiming they did or characterising the scandal as not a scandal and I'm able to just pull apart all of the illogicalities and all of the logical discrepancies in what they say and turn that into sort of comedy because it is funny, right? how deluded people can be when they're trying to cling to power.

And that as a standalone form of journalism is very compelling, I think people would objectively say, but when you combine it with the investigative journalism that's going on at the same time in the same publication, it's just so deadly when you put those two things together.

There was a return of a word that you found interesting over the course of the past 12 months of reporting when it comes to the Kate Sayers versus Luke Sayers issue, Hutchie.
Damian BarrettHOST

And as we close the show today, it returned.
Craig HutchisonHOST
