We're exclusively reporting that company executives and attorneys general from a handful of states that sued to block the merger on antitrust grounds spent the weekend trying to hash out a series of concessions, which conclude a one and a half billion dollar investment by Paramount into California productions, as well as promises not to sell its Hollywood area studios and to stay in the state.

The talks are a part of advanced settlement negotiations as Paramount pushes to close the deal.
