Luke Ferrara

He was the spark, the talisman, the catalyst, whatever superlative you want to throw it in.

He's going to be a handful for MK on Saturday, and you always look at Luke Ferrara.

I think I've done a couple of commentaries where he's hit the winning goal, and it has been absolutely heartbreaking.

He is a natural finisher, and the real key for me, Harrison, in addition to your Berg, your Ferrara's, of course, Dylan Lawrence, formerly of this parish, but...

Phantoms had shared the spoils in the first three weekends of the season and they came close to doing so again before two goals in two minutes towards the end of Sunday's contest left them pointless.

Dylan Lawrence gave Phantoms the lead with a clever redirect pass home netminder Alex Santoretti-Heiskanen in the fifth minute and a well-worked goal from Luke Ferrara after good work from Jan Lackanen and Don Gabach made it 2-0 in the 18th minute.

Fanta's netminder Matt Hennessy had to work hard to keep his clean sheet but he was finally breached on 34 minutes when Patrick Brown struck.

Lawrence and Adam Berg had chances to restore the two-goal advantage in the final period but But instead, the Seahawks levelled in the 55th minute through Cody Mondo, with Jack Musil claiming the match winner 90 seconds later.

[laughs]

I mean, to be honest, when you look at your top line in Peterborough of, uh, Luke Ferrara, Jani Laakkanen, Carmen Hoff, you're doing all too bad.

That's not bad.

That's, that's, that's not bad at all.

The city side had been duffed up 9-2 by the same opponents in Yorkshire just twenty-four hours earlier.

But goals from Luke Ferrara, Adam Burg and Dom Grabarczyk, and an outstanding display from netminder Matt Hennessy ensured revenge arrived quickly.

Phantoms are now sat comfortably in mid-table with two wins and two draws ahead of games this weekend at Basingstoke Bison on Saturday, 6:30 PM face-off, and against Swindon Wildcats at Planet Ice on Sunday, 5:30 PM.

Phantoms faced the same opponents on the opening weekend of the season, winning at Swindon before losing at home to Basingstoke.
