um no my name is luis i come from puerto rico very proud boricua um and i didn't move to new york until i was 21 so i grew up mostly with the peruvian folklore which is when i hear you i was like it free us all right it free us all um playing a bomba was part of like my beginnings but really as i hear the entire conversation where we're heading it's a life journey, right? And so like the storytelling and the many different stories we get to tell started perhaps at a living room in a sofa, dancing to Gloria Estefan.

and so then i wanted to be a magician and then i wanted to be a wrestler which has a lot of theater to be talked about um then i migrated to hawaii for a year because my father was in the army my mom got sick and that year changed my life because I was for the first time exposed to English.

And I had, my grades were A's and in Hawaii they became D's and F's, right? Because I just didn't communicate proper.
