But the real significance is, you know, this large aircraft sector has historically been dominated by Boeing.

So going back a little bit in history, Lufthansa Cargo took delivery of the first JT9D powered 747-200F aircraft.

back in 1972.

And really, in terms of, you know, in those days, that was just above 100 ton capacity for those earlier gross weight 747s.

To put that in context, that is competitive with the Boeing seven seventy-seven freighter, which is currently the workhorse of the international heavy freighter market.

The seven seventy-seven F has been flying cargo for major operators, including FedEx, Emirates SkyCargo, and Lufthansa Cargo, and it has earned its reputation.

Here is the number Airbus is leading with, twenty percent lower fuel burn and twenty percent lower carbon emissions compared to the aircraft the A350F is designed to replace.

That is a significant claim.

Airbus officially launched the program back in 2021, and in the years since, the airplane has accumulated a launch customer list that reads like a who's who of heavy freight operations worldwide.

We're talking Cargolux, Lufthansa Cargo, Air France, and KLM Qatar Airways Cargo, Singapore Airlines CMA CGM Air Cargo, and Etihad Cargo, among others.

Before the airplane even left the ground, the order book was already substantial.

That's the kind of confidence the market was putting into this design.
