You know, it is the most impossible situation.

So Lucy, what is Andy Burnham announcing today or talking about today?

Well, he's talking about the NEETs crisis.

This is really interesting, and I can see this roaring up and, and coming back to hurt, right? Um, or certainly rankle in the coming weeks.

And it's a great story from my colleague, Lucy McDaid.

Um, so much of what Andy Burnham talks about is devolution, and certainly the plans that exist for this new government are about the additional powers to give metro mayors like Andy was until a few weeks ago.

But of course, only forty-eight percent of the country are covered by these regional mayors, and the rest aren't.

I was just, uh, talking, we, we were talking both first to Steve Rotherham, the Liverpool mayor, was very, of course, very upbeat about the mayoral model at, at, at the Politico Pub at, at Labour Conference.

But there's still quite a, a lot of work to do on the promise that resources are going to go to local, uh, authorities commensurate with their size and capacity.
