Lucky Yates

So this is one of those ones where you had to be born close enough to the '70s, but, uh, man, I went...

Uh, Lucky talked about this, 'cause he, he was so excited to be able to do this, this Charlton Heston bit.

But man, thinking about it, this was like the twistiest thing that I think had happened in cinema, like, up to that point.

Like, today we get TV shows that have as crazy a twist as this, but this was, like, mind-blowing to people, I think, in the '70s.

And a lot of people go there.

And, of course, Lucky Yates is a graduate of there, and he's an alum.

He was, of course, in Archer.

Okay.

Exactly.

Adam Reid, Casey Willis, Lucky Yates, co-creators and executive producers.

They have been given a two-season order for an original animated comedy called Merrick and Treves.

HBO has ordered two seasons of this.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the network handed a straight-to-series two-season order to an original animated series titled Merrick and Treviz.

The project comes from Archer creator Adam Reid alongside longtime creative collaborators Casey Willis and Lucky Yates.

Straight two-season commitments are scarce in an era of disciplined development spending, particularly for original IP.

But HBO sees an opening.
