Luciano Ercoli

The same conspiracy for money structure recurs throughout Gastaldi's later work, too.

Sergio Martino, who would go on to direct some of the most highly regarded giallo of the decade, worked as production manager on, I believe, at least three of these films, Libido, Deborah, and So Sweet, So Perverse the following year, before Gastaldi returned to the same structure again in 1970, scripting Forbidden Photos of a Lady Above Suspicion for director Luciano Ercoli.

Then in 1971, Martino made his own directorial debut with The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh, where the premise is essentially the same again.

A woman, a husband, an ex-lover, and a new one, all potentially complicit in a plan to kill her and disguise it as either the work of a serial killer or a suicide.
