Lucha Underground

And you got

a little, I mentioned, you got mentioned the Lucha underground stuff too.

Oh, that too.

Yeah.

All right.

So I alluded to this person as somebody where it's like, oh, you just let him wrestle and he'll get over.

Who knew? I'm taking Ray Phoenix because like getting AAA AEW work speaks for itself is Lucha Underground stuff also speaks for itself.

Also had that weird undead storyline during during Lucha Underground, which was awesome.

Pence has been

over since Lucha Underground.

You know, it's been over for a

long time.

of the bunch i was like oh yeah he needs the mo yeah he's the weakest yeah

i'm sorry ray phoenix but yeah it's pence is up here i don't think

he'll ever reach lucha underground levels of overness that he had because he was pretty over in lucha underground

oh no yeah i remember the clashes he had for that uh for the belt gift of the gods belt and all that stuff the mentor shit with Ray Mysterio at one point yeah so damn Eddie we're already to plugs it's only an hour and two minutes and we're already getting ready to plug

It wasn't quite as streamlined and focused.

Sarah and I weren't enjoying it as much as we used to, but I remember also there was Lucha Underground going out at the same time, and they came out both on a Wednesday.

So it was nice to have a little bit of a double bill, but we were just like, yeah, NXT is certainly not as good as it was.

And when they... pretty much rebooted it, much like Cult of Chucky.

But you

know what? I'm not adverse to Lucha Underground doing like match it because that's in

their universe.

Exactly.

And, again, we talked last week on the show, two guys that will never get the credit that they deserve was Amazing Red and Jack Evans.

Now, when Jack went to go do Lucha Underground, a lot of the people in Lucha Underground were saying, the fans, were like, why is this guy bitching and moaning about not getting credit for a lot of the Lucha moves? And I'm like, because Jack did do a lot of that stuff.

Jack

was ahead of everybody else.

be in a totally different place.

Because remember, a show that, again, it got taken away because of ratings and no money, but because it was on the El Rey Network, not because it was a major TV.

Lucha Underground was... pwg in a way they yeah they had the comedy yeah but all those fans came over from the mexican border because it was in uh boyle heights la something like yeah not far from obviously the mexican border and then obviously people from la with a mexican background a latino background it was their culture but it was taken seriously and remember when jeff cobb was matanza They literally sat there and for at least four weeks, he didn't even sell a single move.

Right.

Well...

He's been in tap with like indie wrestling and like my trainers, AR Fox already knew who he was with like Lucha Underground and Evolve and CZW.

People forget he's like the, he used to be the wire champion and stuff.

He did spots, glass spots with Masada and shit.

Trying to get him on GCW.

like yeah

yes he's he's in that film industry so he is just the way he's presenting that too that's another thing thank you for reminding me that too yeah the filming how he presents the wrestling it's like a movie it's like a deathmatch lucha underground

He just, he makes the simplest things look good.

No toxic spider.

The two guys that wrestled in Lucha Underground, the two big guys...
