That's when Columbia Records introduces the LP, the long play record.

And the column makes a really big deal about the LP not just being a new format, but completely inventing a new cultural behavior.

It absolutely did, because before the LP, you were listening to singles on 78 RPM records.

You got maybe three to five minutes per side.

The LP gave you over 20 minutes per side.

Which is huge.

It is.

And the album is also called LP, which in German translates to Langspielplatte.

So long playing record.

So, you know, makes sense, right? LP.

Sure.

So now your brand-new album, entitled Liberation Day, a tung- 10-song LP, which I love the fact that it says in the bio L- LP.

That's right.

It's a full record.

There's tons of amazing people on it.

This guy named Mike Daligher put this whole project together.

When he came to me, they'd already put out the two, the twos, the two, uh, two LP, the record.

But then he started doing some stuff, he started doing some re- reboots, and he started doing some, some extra songs, and he wanted to bring in some, some recognizable people that'd be interesting, like in the horror genre, because that would, that would cross over perfectly.
