and the estimated arrival changed from 17 days to six and a half weeks in like a blink of an eye.

And not only was that, devastating for us on board because we'd kind of let ourselves get ahead of ourselves but it was like the devastating news of having to phone everyone the next day and say you know this things have changed it's out of our control it's going to be another six and a half weeks instead of 17 days and that was yeah I think there was a definite feeling a low moment on board for sure but I mean straight from that it it resulted in what was probably the most memorable section of the whole crossing you know we had to seek refuge in the loyalty islands to the North of New Caledonia.

And, and we woke up the next day and we were, I mean, it was quite a bizarre experience because we were, you know, 10, 20 meters from the shore, beautiful white, beautiful white sand, tropical paradise, you know, Pacific paradise islands, crystal clear waters, the smell of, we could smell vegetation for the first time in over three months and, and hear the little birds sing on the shore.

And, uh, And we were in this, we were kind of forced to take some time, some downtime in this Pacific paradise.
