Lower Zambezi National Park

I think it's beautiful.

And I know a lot of craft photographers that have been to all those amazing national parks, Kafui, Lower Zambezi and all those other places.

And it's absolutely, absolutely stunning.

So definitely on my itinerary.

But go a little further out and the landscape starts to change.

The road leads towards farms, traditional villages, wildlife areas, and eventually the lower Zambezi.

Next, let's go into the people that are found in Chongwe.

Well, Chongwe is a home to the Soli people, and the area is traditionally associated with the leadership of Her Royal Highness Chieftainess Nkomesha Mukamambu II, together with Chief Wunda Wunda.

Even the name Tiongwe has a connection to the landscape.

Did you know? The town takes its name from the Chongwe River, which runs through the district before eventually making its way towards the Zambezi River.

And if you're traveling from Lusaka towards the lower Zambezi, Chongwe is also part of that journey.

It's almost where the feel of the city starts giving way to something much wilder.

There's mostly, it's mostly national parks.

Like Lower Zambezi is a national park.

Gafui is a national park.

South Luangwa is all a national park.
