Louis Emmett

Kaleb May is still a developing player.

They've actually been playing Louis Emmett in the back end of last year on the ball in the VFL as a really giant big bodied midfielder and almost like a Luke Jackson mold, and he hasn't been playing in the ruck.

So to get a, a bargain basement backup ruckman into that program I think could be really important.

It gives them a different look forward.

And Hudson O'Keefe, it's a great call.

They had issues with Tim English this year with his body.

Rarely before then had they needed a backup ruckman, but all of a sudden they needed someone this year and, and Louis Emmett, uh, didn't quite work.

Logan Smith, uh, Lachie Smith didn't quite work either.

I mean, Lachie Smith wasn't getting it done.

Louis Emmett, no, no chance.

But at least Hudson O'Keeffe can be a banger, uh, in case of emergency or when Tim needs a, a chop out.

That was a glaring hole this year and, uh, I like those additions as much as, as I do the big money on Zach Butters.

They do need some assistance for Tim English.

We know that they've got Louis Emmett and Lachlan Smith who both tried by Luke Beveridge throughout the year, especially in the absence of Tim English when he was injured or maybe just batting a little body issues, but Hudson O'Keefe would come in.

He had some really good moments in the VFL.

He did play up forward as well, which we probably don't think he would play at the Dogs.

So who have we got here? We've got Lockie Carmichael who played two games.

Louis Emmett who really struggled through seven games.

Will Darcy who didn't play at all.

And Caleb May who didn't play at all.
