If we just start by diving into the beginning, diving into your background.

You went to Loughborough University and were a part of the Tigers academy.

What was that like?

Yeah.

But no, it was...

Yeah, like I say, that was probably the first time in my life where I'd been hit with something that wasn't particularly favorable and, yeah, I suppose that dream of playing for Leicester was almost coming crashing down.

But I was very, very fortunate that the club were, were excellent in helping me find some alternative options, and Loughborough University was one of those.

So I went to Loughborough.

Yeah.

Or if, if you're Loughborough, for example, you also have a team in the, in the national leagues.

So they, that's another route next to, one, further education, but two, um, still get a really good quality rugby.

And I, I say, and it's like a level up from ACE college in the fact that-

So I think from that point of view, it'll be really brilliant.

The one thing I don't think enough people give him the credit for, and I was very lucky and fortunate to have been involved in a couple of camps at Loughborough and here in Dubai as well, I don't think you could've met a person that worked harder and more diligently.

Practice, his practice was, um, very specific, um, very tailored to what was gonna come in front of him, so he was so professional with that.

He worked really hard.

I never dreamt of being in this industry at all, so I studied to be a quantity surveyor, building buildings.

What happened was I went to Loughborough University to play cricket.

Actually, cricket was the driver to go to the university.

I didn't get into the business school, so I underperformed my A levels.

So business and marketing, I always had that feeling.

Did a year of politics and economics, got the grades, and then was told they, they were shutting down this campus.

They're moving it back to Loughborough, but it was now fully booked, and I couldn't transfer.

Professor at the time told me, and I basically, I quit, um, by which point I was already in the cricket squads.

Biggest shout out, captain of... team dean and winning captain at that um jemima bowman was unbelievable from start to finish she got 81 off 57 on day one um in a massive win the biggest win of of the weekend 115 run win for team dean over over ireland to kick us off on on friday Only got out of the final delivery trying to pummel it into Leicester from Loughborough, which was absolutely fine.

So she was excellent.
