Lou Manfredini

He's like, this is unbelievable.

He thinks he's Lou Manfredini? Yeah.

He's going to knock some walls down? What is he doing? Oh, my God.

Pocket protectors.

All right, Jan, we're sorry to hear that.

Tom, you're on WGN with Mr. Fix-It, Lou Manfredini.

Hi, thanks for taking my call.

Yep.

It's really amazing stuff.

All right, and one more call.

Kevin, you're on WGN with Mr. Fix-It Lou Manfredini.

Go ahead, Kevin.

Yeah, and it's that time of year people change the batteries in your smoke detectors.

They now have natural gas detectors, I learned from Lou Manfredini.

And carbon monoxide has always been there.

And if your unit is over 10 years old, perhaps you should replace it when we fall back and change your batteries.

on.

You're listening to House Smarts Radio with me, Lou Manfredini.

857-557-4LOU is our phone number.

We'll take a quick break and we'll be back right after this.

How are you today, Lou?

I'm doing great.

Thanks for having me on.

I've not had anyone ask you for a book title or a recommendation on a book, but that's the first question today.

Lou, I need a good read for a 70-plus DIY carpenter.

Oh, wow.

Well, I was talking to John that I just finished the book Whale Fall, which is a movie that I guess is coming out.

I think if you go to Black & Decker Carpentry, there's probably stuff like 101 to understand tools, what they do, what you can do with them, and it covers both hand tools and power tools.
