Lou Gorman

I don't know.

Lou Gorman, who was the general manager of the Red Sox, I think was the keynote guy.

And then I met other people and I didn't keep in touch with them because, again, that would involve letters or phone calls.

And these were generally men that were much older than me.

Matty reached for it.

Understand, too, this kid was so highly thought of by Oriole scout Dick Boyd that when Lou Gorman, the farm director for Kansas City, called the kid to work out, They had to hide him away.

There goes Clark again.

Pitch is hit to the shortstop.

All right.

So now this arrogant, performative, smug genius, Mike Vrabel, at the beginning of the year, when asked, why didn't you keep Booty and Diggs? It was like Lou Gorman saying, where are we going to play Willie McGee? How do you look now? Okay, for any head coach or GM or all of this, say we have too many at one position.

What you did is you ripped Drake Mays' comfort receivers right from under him, just like an offensive coordinator would be ripped from under a rookie quarterback.

That was shoved down my throat.
