Lotus Exige

[laughs] Even every generation of Lotus before this one, the, the step to this one was a long way.

Yeah, so the last generation Exige, which I don't think we got in, uh, North America, um, was, um, was a, a two-door fixed coupe-

Uh, "I'm stuck between getting a Lotus Exige or an SLK 55 AMG and manual swap it.

I haven't been able to sit in any of them.

And what about the Series 1 Exige? Did you have any pen in that?

Yeah, that was a funny car, because that car started out...

And there, there, there was some criticism about the Elise obviously being too crude and the rest of it, and no room to put anything in it.

So we made a Rover V6 engined long wheelbase car, which had a little sort of s- um, there's space behind the rear seats.

And it was a fixed roof with essentially the Exige bodywork on it.

And that was a car, we did one-off.

Roger Becker drove it around, said it was just rubbish and unbalanced, didn't work.

Yeah, they, they, they-

And like, you're paying $2 million for, uh, I don't think the new one's a Lotus chassis anymore, but the first one was literally a stretched Exige.
