Lothos

I think it does the slop thing really well.

It, uh, suffers a little bit from you have to play some questionable cards, but I think the best Marnius lists are really just playing like Lothos and Smothering Tithes and like good cards, right?

They also disliked the darker elements in Whedon's original script, wanting to make it a lighter comedy.

Merrick's suicide was replaced with his being killed by Lothos, and Buffy's burning down-

And he's not allowed to interfere? Like, that's actually crazy.

Yeah, well, and, uh, there's a couple things from that scene that got cut out, but one of them was Lothos was actually gonna change him into a vampire.

Um, and that's why Merrick was like, "No, I'd rather die than become a vampire."
