So Loretta, thank you so much for being on with us today.
1:51
Oh, thank you so much, Melissa.
1:53
What an honor it is to join you.
1:56
Um, I was thinking about our conversation, and there is a question I get asked by women so often, and they might be mid-career, raising families, doing both.
2:10
And it's a little nagging question that they ask themselves, they ask me, "Is this what it's all about? Is this...
2:19
Why am I not feeling better?" And they've had, they've had a lot of success.
2:23
They've built careers.
5:12
So, but I wanna start with first in the conversation with you is the thought of the achievement trap, right? And I think that that's a, like, a tension we all, um, can grapple with, right? And your, your book, Balance Is Bullshit, it's a bold statement, but, you know, I think it's, it's a freeing one at the same time, right? So what, what made you decide that balance was kind of the wrong goal altogether?
24:46
So if you can walk us through what that is and then maybe take a deep dive into one of them, I'd be so curious to learn more.
24:55
Yes.
24:56
And the genesis of the self-architect method as the solution was really because during the first couple months of my book tour, one of the first questions from both men and women I would get is, okay, Loretta, if balance is bullshit, then what? And it it seemed really obvious to me.
25:19
But for most people, they're like, OK, yes, I am struggling.
25:24
I am in a point in my life where I can't keep all these balls in the air.
25:29
I can't keep juggling.
25:30
So what do I do? And I think that forced me to come up with this framework that for me was, as you asked before, somewhat learned and then put into practice once I actually had learned.

What are you sharing with people to... think about the realization of this and advice for success?
