I've got a question regarding Italian players that went abroad to lesser leagues, often referred to as retirement leagues in their career.

For example, Giorgio Chinaglia to the New York Cosmos NASL, Roberto Donadoni to the MetroStars, Del Piero to Sydney A-League, Giovinco to Toronto MLS, Insigne and Bernardeschi to Toronto MLS, Schillaci to Jubilo Iwata in Japan.

Can you rank/comment on these transfers and perhaps impact of these moves? Do you think any of them built up interest in these countries for Serie A and calcio, Italian football? Which ones were successful and which were not? I don't know if we're going to include Qatar and Saudi in this discussions.

um yeah the italian attacker and he was just so good and he had one berserker in his pocket but i said to neil as well i think i think matty cash would have had the same problem i think he would have he was just you know when a player is just having one of those games where you cannot touch them i think that was just his game um and i don't make a habit of watching a lot of belgian football but he really stood out to me so um i thought he was class um going back to john mcginn um Simon, he made a comment that really, really touched me.

It touched me as much as opening the Valentine's Day card from my wife.

Um, but just to say, you know, abroad, out of the country, Germany, not far, but still abroad, you know, fielding three Italians and, you know, two, two full lineups, 22 players, you can't muster up more than three, uh, Italian players.

So obviously, again, that's a whole other talking point, and that's definitely alarming.

But I just think that compared to what Ciro Mertens and Lavezzi and Cavani did for Napoli there, I don't know, Lavezzi was just ridiculous.

I mean, then again, Lorenzo Insigne is not in this.

I mean, that's the thing.

We have to remember the De Laurentiis era at Napoli has been fantastic.

He's like an opposite-sided Insigne, maybe?

I think he is better suited, like a little bit closer to the striker than a proper winger.
