Longshot

[laughs]

Uh, Longshot is also there.

Yep.

Quicksilver is also there.

Mutants don't deserve rights."

Mm-hmm.

And, like, Longshot just, like, throws some acorns at them.

Like-

And so you can get like higher profile creative teams that can only produce so many pages.

And if that were the case, then I would like to get something like Nascenti and Adams from Longshot to do another Longshot issue, essentially, but this time with Blue Devil and his cast, since they already had some crossover there in terms of subject matter.

You get Ricochet Rita in there.

You can maybe even get Mojo in there.

So I don't know if you know this or not, and maybe you do.

Art Adams was a big fan of Blue Devil.

And in fact, I got the Tomorrow's book on Art Adams, and it shows some of his original pencils for Longshot.

And there's a ship flying through space or whatever in that comic, and on the prow of the ship, instead of like, you know, they usually put like a mermaid or something, it's Blue Devil.

Uh, the book ends on a threat to the reader.

It tells us in next issue we're gonna see Dazzler, Longshot, and Mojo, because our suffering as readers shall never end.

[laughs]

All right, Stozer, your thoughts.

So, uh, if you're unfamiliar with that, go ahead and check that out.

We've talked about it.

Well, Spiral and Arize put apart their differences, and they decide to go back to the Mojoverse together to help Longshot in this rebellion against Mojo, and we also discover a prophecy that Shatterstar of X-Force is actually the one who would one day rule the Mojoverse.

All right, Stoger, your thoughts.

But Wolverine escapes on his own with the aid of a mysterious soldier named Maverick.

And then lastly, we get a check-in on Dazzler, who is suddenly reunited with Longshot, so we'll see what happens there later on, I guess.

All right, your thoughts, Dojer.

So as I read through this issue, the one of the thoughts that pops into my head is, um, I, I wonder if I should be reading current Wolverine during this time.

Yeah.

So, and it's nice to...

I mean, I guess it's nice to see what's going on from a, a character perspective with, uh, Longshot and Dazzler, but I, I don't care about the Mojo stuff.

I'm not gonna be the biggest fan of it.

You're talking to mutant men here.

And they're going to make a Mojo Jojo pack with Mojo, Spiral, Longshot.

And yeah, it's going to be good.

And who's the Shatterstar? Yeah, that's going to be a sweet fucking pack.

And that is long shot.

Adam, you're, you're, You were of an age when Longshot was really hitting his prime.

Was Longshot one of your boys?

Longshot really wasn't.

I came to X-Men kind of like on the tail end of the Siege Perilous.

So Longshot, Aussie X-Men, I got to later in retrospect.

And I had not read the Art Adams, Annie Nesenti.

Yeah, well, I know you're an Art Adams guy.

Allison feels her arm raise outside of her control and fire a light blast at the rocks above, where a thin blonde man leaps just as his vantage point explodes.

You can't sneak up on a telepath, Longshot.

I can't read your mind, but I can still see it coming.

You missed it, but I won't.

Longshot twists in the air and hurls something down at them, and Betsy finds herself and Allison tangled up in.

Annette! Really? Ugh, get out of my head, Betsy.

Longshot lands gracefully beside them, and Rogue staggers up next to him.

Sorry, Allie.
