Long Jetty

So any of the walks in the Bouddi National Park are definitely worth doing.

Um, and more close to home, Long Jetty down the road, Tuggerah Lake, uh, down the road, is a, a massive lake, uh, that has...

I think it's 55 kilometers worth of cycle walk tracks, um, along it as well, and the sunsets on Tuggerah Lakes are phenomenal.

Um, yeah, so-

All right, last night at Spanian Kebabs Wyong at the opening day, I told Spanian and Columbia if they sign my leg I'm gonna get it tattooed.

So we came to Stella Street here, uh, Long Jetty, and we got it looking clean.

One of the big turning points was pro- I think my house at Long Jetty that I did.

When we did that project, I just wanted to pay for the whole thing in cash, and then Ryan was like, "You're mad." And I was like, "No, I'm not." [laughs] So let's say I learned the hard way with that.

You as the business owner or builder, developer have to know those numbers, right?

So then how has that, I guess, let's, let's take that into h- the development realm, because obviously that's, that's a huge part of our beliefs, and I know you're really passionate in doing that now, which is awesome.

So how has, how did that, I guess, unlock development for you, that process? Was that, was that kind of what opened up that door for you, being a profitable builder, having the, the level of insurance you need, or was it something else?

Like I don't, remember not knowing what I wanted to do or be.

I famously, my mum told me this story that I said, because they had a plant nursery and there was a hairdressing salon down the road in Long Jetty.

When people were getting pants, I would hand the, you know, the roller things.

The rollers with the rubber clips.

When I go on my run, I often run back up here past, you know, through the entrance and up past the entrance public school.

And on the path that I run, In the concrete, just as soon as you're entering Long Jetty at the end of the entrance, someone wrote in, like they, you know, in the wet concrete, they wrote lukewarm.

It's like this almost little prophetic statement as you step into Long Jetty.

I just find that so interesting.

It always strikes me as I go running.

Oh.

So Britt tells me as a kid, she would go to Long Jetty.

They had a house in Long Jetty.

And they would have a holiday house for her nan and pop.

And then Cole, who was obviously famous because he was a referee, number one referee.
