and she just stood there while i was on her back i'm not really supposed to do those things normally but it was all right it was such a lovely memory and i'm gonna really miss her um and also oh yeah i did say in last week's comment like if you guys have any tips for rosettes um displays uh they also say um to display your rosettes i'd recommend using a trellis oh that's a really good idea um as it gives a great aesthetic and holds lots of rosettes amazing amazing oh well I'm so sorry to hear um you've had to say goodbye to me I've had to say goodbye to a couple of lone ponies and in my life and it's really it's really sad because with a lone pony or a lease pony you kind of you always know that your time together isn't going to be forever but I think the thing that's important to remember is that you've had so many amazing memories together and just really cherish those memories but also it sounds like you know Mia's gonna go and teach somebody else who's smaller probably like another child or that kind of thing and they're gonna have so many memories and amazing times together and it is really sad saying goodbye to a pony especially if they've been such a huge part of your life um but you've got to remember sometimes when one door closes another one opens so you never know where the next horse is going to take you um riding and the next opportunities that's going to happen also i'm sure that mia is going to have a lovely time with her new rider as well and that's one of the things like although i was so lucky you guys to know that i had mickey and it's like it's one of those things where i'm kind of sad that i was his last kind of rider because obviously as i outgrew him he had all these health issues and um he couldn't really be ridden anymore and I think that's one of those things where I think it would have made me so happy to have seen him with another kid and teach them all the things that he taught me and he never really had that opportunity because obviously he was an older boy so I think yeah that's something really nice to kind of focus on is that all the lovely times that you had together somebody else will get to have that too so anyway I yeah I just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely comments of the week guys I feel like I'm gonna tear up these are like such sad but lovely comments so very very wholesome so thank you everyone for comment of the week um and thank you for yeah supporting the podcast you guys really make it so whatever platform you're listening on if you could subscribe it does make a huge difference subscribe like rate five stars well if you've if you think the podcast is five stars i'm not telling you to but no it does make a huge difference but anyway while while i'm doing my little little public service announcement i feel like we need a little newsflash because i have a lot of things coming up in the next few few months really so we have horse the year show that is coming up very very soon I'm going to be there on the 10th of October which is the Saturday I'm pretty sure all of the tickets for my meet and greet have been snatched up so see you guys there I'm also going to be at red post guys I'm going to be at red post on the 14th of November which is also a Saturday so I'm That, I feel like, is going to roll around really, really quickly.

And it is amazing now how many people or how many jockeys have come through what we see at London International Horse Show and many shows around the country with the Shetland Pony Grand National, and then now the pony c- p- the pony racing, that so many jockeys come up through that system now.
Pippa FunnellHOST
5:44
So that experience it gives you at that young age.
Hollie DoyleGUEST
5:48
Yeah, no, I think it was important, but I do think that the other disciplines I did, like the mounted games and the show jumping, were probably even more important really, um, from, you know, just learning how to ride properly.
