What is the biggest one?

The largest seed in the world comes from the Coco de Mer palm.

It can weigh more than 20 kilograms.

That's heavier than some six-year-old children.

And Praslin is, is famous for two things really.

It's got a, a very famous national park called the Vallée de Mai, which is home to the, a native endemic species of a tree called the coco de mer tree, which has a coco de mer nut, which is the kind of national symbol of the Seychelles and a symbol of fertility.

And it also has its own endemic species of, of bird life, uh, the black parrot.

And then it's also famous for a beach called Anse Lazio Beach, which is, I believe it's the most photographed beach in the world, uh, featured in the sort of Bounty adverts in the '90s, the, you know, the chocolate bar.

So that's very, very iconic as well.

So a, a, a lot of people go to Praslin mainly for those two things, for Vallée de Mai, uh, to see the huge coco de mer trees and the huge coco de mer nut, and they go to Anse Lazio for sundown and cocktails and then, and it's just a really st- stunning beach as well.

But there's some l- lovely properties on the island as well.

But it, it's, it's much more chilled than Mahé, very much like the second island.

It grows the next oak, feeds the living world around it, and has also sustained people who learned how to unlock what it carries.

The world's largest seed comes from the Coco de Mer palm.

Native to a few islands in the Seychelles, this palm produces a seed so enormous that it can seem almost unreal when seen in person.

The Coco de Mer can weigh many kilograms, making it the undisputed giant of the seed world.

Its famous double-lobed shape has drawn fascination for centuries, not only because of its size, but because early sailors sometimes found the seeds floating at sea without knowing where they came from.

Before the parent trees were identified, stories grew around them.
