Locust Star

I'm gonna call out Purify.

It's not in my favorites that I've picked out for the album, but it's an epic centerpiece when paired with Locust Star.

[rock music] It's, yeah, 12 minutes long, and when you combine it with Locust Star, it's 18 minutes, uh, or 18 and a bit, and that's about a quarter of the album's runtime in just two tracks.

Those two combined together are the definitive pair of post-metal tracks, possibly to date in 2026, but certainly at the time that they were released.

There are heavier vocals throughout, provided by Dave Edmondson, and it really gives another dimension to their already formidable vocal performance.

This is the one that most people seem to start with Neurosis on.

It's not where I came in, and I'll be honest, it's not my favorite, but it is undoubtedly a masterpiece.

My favorite tracks on here, um, Locust Star.
