We are looking at Peter S. Beagle's The Last Unicorn, published in 1968.

Diego notes that in 1987, Locus Magazine subscribers ranked it as the fifth best fantasy novel of all time.

A massively prestigious ranking and incredibly well deserved.

I don't doubt it's a great book.

Thomas's fiction is really impressive stuff.

He's won the Nebula, the Locus, and, spoiler, now the Hugo.

ARB editor Zachary Gillen wrote the intro for Thomas's collection, Uncertain Sons, and I can't stress enough that you should pick that up.
