Locked Out of Heaven

What was your favorite part of the concert? Singing.

Locked Out of Heaven is also one of Maria Alcazar's favorite songs, which she and her friend Nathan Yu say they were singing before being attacked by someone they believe should have already been locked behind bars.

I will never forget that his eyes look so scary.

The two were walking to their Airbnb following the Bruno Mars concert last week in Vancouver when they were approached by a man.

Now, Bruno Mars is in there twice, number six and number five.

Number six with Locked Out of Heaven.

Good song.

And then straight back in with Lady Gaga at number five.

Very good.

Locked out of heaven.

I'd catch a Grenade for you.

Wait, are you talking about like Paul Conner would catch a Grenade? Another locked out of heaven.

Runaway, baby.

That's good.

Songwriting, All I Ask by Adele.

All time, Finesse or Locked Out Of Heaven.

That's fair.

I Don't Mind The Human League.

I Don't Mind The Human League, Jay-Z.

Yes, those are good songs by the way, Irvin, all of them.

Locked Out Of Heaven, Die With A Smile, and Risk It All.

Yep.

You know, we, I, uh...

Now, but an iconic moment was presented to us where the opportunity for Bruno Mars and Jesus to both sing Locked Out of Heaven- ... together.

A Bru- an iconic Bruno Mars song, and we, we did that, and that was a moment.

It was.

Give you a little preview of that next and a little exit ramp.

It's 9.50. Back in April at Globe Life, was that Bruno Mars there? He could have opened with like some big banger like Uptown Funk or Locked Out of Heaven.

He opened with this, Risk It All, the opening track from his brand new album called The Romantic.

And it just laid a vibe down over 40,000 people.

An old key opens something physical.

An unwritten future opens something emotional, and this song totally fits because every old key makes us wonder what story was waiting behind the door? How about Bruno Mars from 2012, Locked Out of Heaven? A locked door needs a key, and Bruno Mars turned that basic idea into a very different kind of metaphor, a playful modern soundtrack for our little piece of antique metal.

Now let's head on over to the movie theater and talk about The Skeleton Key from 2005, featuring Kate Hudson, Gena Rowlands, John Hurt, and others.

The title alone makes this an essential connection.
