Local bike shop

So I started a little design business where I was doing first some graphic design, but I had no money.

So I was working in a bike shop, the Vellomeister.

Vellomeister.

Yeah, cool shop.

And subsequently over the course of getting back to my college town, it was just me and another guy.

And he's like, you are the strongest kid I've ever seen.

show up at the bike shop and talk to us about getting on the team.

I'm like, on the team? Oh my God, that was incredible.

I always had a knack for repairing bicycles and was trained by expert mechanics.

So I just enjoyed working in bike shops, having continued working in bike shops since I was 15 and a half years old.

So that's been 43 years now.

What are you most proud of in your career?

So ultimately you want to flip your inventory in a timely fashion so that, you know, your money's just not locked up in products sitting on shelves.

How did you learn to do inventory well?

I grew up in bike shops.
