So before we go into the wedding podcast, I have to ask you, what's your secret on how you run the company and keep it so modern?

Well, to be fair, first of all, you had me tearing up at that.

I can only ever hope that she would be proud of us.

I think she'd be tickled pink that at 104 years later, it's still going.

She passed away in 1960, so it's been quite a while.

But I think the trick comes from Emily, is that she was always looking to future generations for what they did.

Oh, I love that.

And I asked her, what is the minimum amount you should be Venmo requesting someone for?

I feel like for me, and I try to keep my ranges on the lower side because I just think it's silly to walk around assuming that everybody operates in spaces of like $50 and $100, or where $25 wouldn't make a big deal to them, be a big deal to them.

And so I would say $10 or less starts to be like...

I could let that slide.

But, you know, there are some people for whom that might not be slidable.

And given gas prices and grocery prices, which are such necessities in our lives these days, I feel like it's worth respecting it.

Know confidently that it is okay for you to have spoken up in this situation.

That is no matter how the we can't control other people's behavior and how they react.

But, um, wanna reassure those who would like an adults-only wedding.

The thing is, is you don't put that information on the invitation.

... what, what are all the logistics, and how has it changed?

it isn't changing so much about who's paying.

Yeah.

Well, a little bit it is.

It's, I would say that there's two things happening.

One, you're absolutely right.

You have hit the nail on the head that the couple is much more in the driver's seat over the wedding itself.

It's less of a gift to them by their parents or the generation above them, which would incorporate a lot more family friends as opposed to just the couple's friends.
