Saville-Roberts said, Swinney is likely to keep pressing Burnham for clarity, potentially asking him to define what level and duration of support would justify a referendum.

If Burnham names a threshold he could unintentionally create a route for independence campaigners to pursue, and those in Northern Ireland.
