So what did that feel like?

Yeah.

You know, it's funny because I have never not been in the media, which is a very weird thing to say, especially because I was a member of the media myself.

I was a People knowing my title of first IVF baby in the United States before they actually knew me as a person is incredibly common.

A lot of people know how I got here, but don't know me as a person and often don't know the history of IVF in the United States.

And there are two things that I think about when I think back to that conversation we had about writing this book.

One is, oh my gosh, I thought you would be so much older because people think IVF has been around in this country for eons.

Why is that still so important to you? Or maybe now more than ever, right?

So your study found that even breastfeeding fa- families experience stress during the formula shortage.

Yeah.

There's, one of my big sort of... talking points is about who's controlling the infant feeding narrative in the US, and formula companies tend to control that quite a bit.

They have money.

They have influence.

They have websites dedicated to their infant feeding practices.

They also put breastfeeding advice on their websites.

... a high-stress time that it definitely does not set people up for success.
