Livestock show

It's just what they do.

You know, it can be challenging, and even on the parent side, as I've started to have kids that are getting older and more and more involved, and it wasn't that long ago, I feel like I remember, you know, the juggle of, you know, Friday night football and, you know, Saturday morning stock shows or fairs or fall fairs and all that stuff.

But I do think it can be so beneficial to those kids that are, you know, multi-diverse and species and sports instead of that.

Oh, Hey, I'm just going to show pigs and play football, you know, or, or whatever that looks like.

So like, you know, for us, it's like, you know, maybe cheap entertainment or whatever that looks like, but it's definitely, um, you know, those dudes are, they're trying to, they're trying to make it.

So yeah, absolutely.

Tell me what you think the future of stock shows looks like five years, 10 years down the road, you're obviously someone that's been very involved in it, you know? And I know that sometimes, that can be a negative.

You know, we see a little bit of that, oh, where are we gonna be? Where are we gonna be? And I'm not saying it's not merited, but what do you think that looks like for you guys?

Also very heavily involved in the Cattle Raisers Association and San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, both from a volunteer standpoint.

Married with two kiddos, an almost three-year-old and a seven-month-old.

So life is busy and life is fun.

then was vice chair, then chairman, then kind of went through the ranks within the livestock committee as a whole, became vice chair and chairman of livestock committee.

Livestock committee as a whole is about 1500 volunteers.

Like it is the stock show piece of the San Antonio stock show and rodeo.

So I served there for three years and I now serve as an assistant vice president for the entire stock show and rodeo.

Chapter twenty-three.

Cattle show.

The children were not the only ones who had learned something at Pebbly Beach.

Mrs. Minot had talked a good deal with some very superior persons and received light upon various subjects which had much interested or perplexed her.

"I don't see why there should not be an exhibition of children and prizes for the good and pretty ones, as well as for fat pigs, fine horses, or handsome fruit and flowers.
