Little Diomede Island

Polar Dagger ran August 15th to 31st across Point Hope, St. Lawrence, Leland, Wales, Tin City, and Little Diomede.

Little Diomede is the uncomfortable detail.

It sits about two miles from Russia's Big Diomede.

This is not a metaphor.

There's no writing, and the artifacts are very hard to come by.

It is interesting, however, that there is evidence, and this evidence was found on Little Diomede Island of a much lower ocean.

That is to say, when they went and tried to put in a new port on Little Diomede, and Little Diomede is one of two islands, Little Diomede being Alaska, Big Diomede being Russia.

And they face each other from a mile and a half away.
