I mean granted it didn't have Mike Nesmith as part of it.

But Mike Nesmith was independently wealthy because his mom had created Liquid Paper.

Yeah.

Exactly.

How much this frustrates me, that I, I had both parts of those.

I, I was running back and forth like, Liquid Paper, White Out, Liquid Paper, White Out, Liquid...

And I couldn't put White Out with something behind it.

Right.

Yeah, well, Liquid Paper might've been funny to put something together with, though.

I'm somehow completely, I've never heard of or seen White Out somehow.

Among the strangest facts about Nesmith is the source of his family fortune.

Betty Graham, his mom, while working as a secretary in the 1950s, developed the correction fluid known as liquid paper.

Graham founded the liquid paper company in 1958 and built it into a multi-million dollar business with international reach.

In the early days of the company, she hired her son and his friends to assemble bottles of the product in her garage for a dollar an hour.

She later sold liquid paper to the Gillette Corporation in 1979, for $47.5 million.

She died the following year, and Michael inherited her estate.
