Lionel Lewis

As a player, if you were on a team... that lost to a cheating opponent.

Do you want that medal now? Former Lions goalkeeper Lionel Lewis said, nope, it's fine.

Former Lions striker Alexander Duritz said, personally, I will not take that medal.

Second means second, and that must be respected.

We're not playing here today.

Lions legend, Lions goalkeeping legend, Lionel Lewis.

He wrote in to say this.

He said, for me, it's more than just football.

So when Singapore and Malaysia meet on the pitch, there is always an added edge and sense of pride.

My own favourite match was the 2007 Suzuki Cup semi-final where we won by penalties, mostly because I saved the winning penalty.

Let's give Lionel Lewis a round of applause.

The legend that he is.
