Lingayats

The modern day pioneer of the Mudd organization was initially laid in the 12th and 13th century by Basava.

He's sort of the founder of the unique way of thinking of Lingayats.

It's very similar to, in my opinion, how Martin Luther comes up with, in a way, opposition to Rome's power versus in this context, similar to opposing the Brahmin context.

It's also Shaivite country.

You have the Lingayats there, and great worshipers.
