It has to be better.

That said, I do think it's important to remember that Linebacker has been a relative weak point on this defense for at least as long as Vance Joseph's been here.

And frankly, longer than that.

And in spite of that, the defense continues to be pretty darn good.

So I don't expect that to happen again this Sunday.

So it really starts with Devin Lloyd at linebacker.

and Derek Brown up front, and everybody else has to step up.

Bobby Brown III, who actually played really well.

So that will be one where he was able to play through it.

The Panthers trainers have a plan for him.

That's just going to be – seemingly an issue he's gonna have to deal with for a while this season maybe the bye week which comes early this year will help him get back on his feet and not feel that kind of pain pat jones second also deal with a back issue he did not play last week he did not practice on wednesday he's week to week so he's probably turning not to play so that was your best defensive lineman last week and then a guy who you'd want to be you're starting outside linebacker replacing nick scorton who's also probably gonna miss a game again this weekend Carolina went out there last week next to Derek Brown and Bobby Brown III with three guys who had never played a game in a National Football League, that being Lee Hunter, the second-round pick out of Texas Tech, T-Rod Edwards, who they traded for on cut-down day with the Chargers, and then Aaron Hull, an undrafted free agent, I'm from Durham from Duke.

So those guys didn't look great last week.

It's not like wide receiver where you can get a whole bunch of different flavors and a whole bunch of different talents, and you're not going to miss on a ton of them.

Linebacker, there's a huge boom or bust factor.

They get injured a lot.

There's a lot of mitigating factors that make it really hard to find a good linebacker.

including right here, Sports Radio, WSBT, Tim Growl, Jimmy Rizzieri, Eric Hansen, Jack Sobel.
