Lindsay and Ella of Seneca Sounds came to the area more recently, but they found that same DIY spirit here, the sense that if there's something you want to see, you can help make it happen.

So my background is actually art, visual art and metalworking.

So I went to school at SUNY New Paltz for metalworking and had a career in that track for about a decade.

And that started with jewelry, furniture, and then eventually graduated to public art and also teaching kids different metalworking and art practices in the area.

So my background also in the area is a lot of like community work around art, et cetera.

And also when I was living in New York City, which I lived post college for about five years, I worked with my sister in a lot of events And I feel like my track to getting into Finger Lakes events is kind of the marriage of all, both of those things, I guess.

It's, um, my background in events in New York mixed with a lot of the visual art that I've been doing for the past decade.

Where did the idea for Seneca Sounds come from? And what made you decide that this was something that you wanted to create?
