It's just less interesting for me than what happens when you're in a situation like my office space and I've got this dump, the HVAC, air conditioning dumps straight down on me.

There's lots and lots of complicating factors for that.

that make it both very very interesting and very very difficult to ask some of these questions because you have to at some point narrow it down to something specific and then control as much as you can across it to do stuff so it's really just it's a fascinating idea at with kind of this overhead drone work because you can really get an idea of you might be able to do a smoke bomb or do some kind of cold smoke approximation of something in a field it's not going to be perfect but it's going to be okay and then start working on dogs dog tracks through through that area to see what are the how are they figuring out where this plume is tracking it seeing direction there's so many different aspects of that search that we don't understand very much about we understand a little bit about stuff i and i always go back to invertebrates too because most of the stuff that we really understand about the mechanistic quality of qualities of how animals track plumes are done on things like lobsters and crabs and moths partially because you can do terrible things to these experimentally nobody cares because they're invertebrates there's lots of paperwork involved with even touching a dog.
