So in Eregion, Halbrand still waits, but is told that he cannot enter.

Celebrimbor awaits messages from Lindon, but we see that the Elvish messengers were dead before arrival, and the message is undelivered.

Meanwhile, in Rhûn or Caras Gaer, the dark wizard uses blood magic to reconstitute one of the three White Wings, the Dweller.

Commander Galadriel Solders mutiny on her after they reach the former stronghold of evil and are nearly killed by a snow troll.

She finds Sauron's mark on an old stone anvil, but is forced to return to the elvish capital of Lindon to report to the king Gil-Galad, or as I call him, Gil the Lad.

I love the thought of that.

So moving on, we get, we come back to Tar-Minyeldor, and he reads this letter that was given to him by Aldarion.

So, um, it says, he saw that it came from King Gil-galad in Lindon, right?

Mm-hmm.

And, uh, it was sealed and bore his device of white stars upon a blue rondure.

Just, just FYI, Lindon is the, uh, is the region in Middle Earth where...

Well, anyway, Lindon is the region where, it's the region west of the Misty Mountains, um, where, I believe this is right.

the whole awkward Galadriel issue that she told him not to treat with Sauron by just being like oh she said you'd say that and it's it's just very clever the way he just gives Celebrimbor enough information that Celebrimbor fills in the gaps in a way that's helpful to Sauron and then also plays on his insecurities as a creator he's been left out of it he says something like oh they let the true creators toil until their knuckles bleed and then they come along and forget all about us and he's very much identifying you and me we are not like the rest of the elves you're not one of them you're like me and when he's finally invited inside he doesn't really answer Celebrimbor's questions like Celebrimbor is like the rings and Sauron's like Yes.

Sauron doesn't actually, I don't think, know for certain how things have played out in Lindon.

But he's already confirmed at this point that Celebrimbor doesn't either.

So I think he will feel that the rings have worked.

and they did not march alone.

Out of Lindon came the Noldor in their gleaming mail.

From the two realms in exile came the Dunedain, tall and grim.

Down the Vale of Anduin the host gathered the sylvan elves of the Greenwood under Oropher, and of Lorien under Amdir.

The sylvan elves of the Greenwood and of Lorien marched under their own kings, Oropher and Amdia, and these two were, in Tolkien's words, unwilling to submit to the supreme command of Gil-galad.

They were of the older, cinder-in-nobility of the woodland realms.

They did not see why the Noldor of Lindon should give them their orders.

They were also more lightly armed than the steel-clad Noldor, woodland folk, not the heavy infantry of the high elves.

And they found places like Umbar, Longdeer, Tharbad, just about everywhere.

They visit Lindon.

They befriend the elves, of course, and such.

And Sauron, you know, they're coming south.

But in the meantime, they're on their own.

Most of Eredor is completely just overrun.

And from Lindon, you know, Elrond... is kind of sent by gilgalad to just rally as many men as he can to try and fight these orcs but uh they're losing all their battles

it's what elrond is just said to do is delaying action more than anything
