As the daughters of Cecil and Linda Womack, the nieces of Bobby Womack, and the granddaughters of Sam Cooke, they truly are descendants of Soul Music royalty.

Their parents are Linda and Cecil Womack, who made beautiful rhythm and blues under the name Womack & Womack.

Their uncle, Bobby Womack, possessed the gravelly voice that powered hits like Lookin' for a Love and Across 110th Street.

And their grandfather was the gospel and soul great Sam Cooke.

But for our purposes, I want to focus on them and their parents.

Their parents are Linda Womack and Cecil Womack.

Linda Cook, who later became Linda Womack, was Sam Cook's daughter.

And they are also legends in their own right.

And there's a Philly connection.

At a point in time, they split up.

And then at that point in time, Cecil Womack started focusing more on being just a songwriter and producer pretty much throughout the 60s.

Now, he knew Linda Womack.
