So, in your professional opinion, is it possible that this is in fact a hole that extends all the way to hell and that demons or the devil himself could be loosed

from it at night? Great question, Ned.

So did you bail on the school immediately or did you finish a semester?

I finished my first semester there and I came back, went to Lincoln Land.

And

what did you major in at Lincoln Land?

It was Associate of Arts, and then I went to UIS and then got a business in, you know, Batch Administration.

I found the bank right when I moved back here.

Nope.

So that'll be a fun evening as well.

That Friday, the 9th of October, you talk about you've got a softball scrimmage, softball with Lincoln Land.

You've got a volleyball game against Drury at the track, and it's the alumni tailgate.

Same night, you're having a baseball scrimmage against Lincoln Land at Robin Roberts Stadium.

It's being used tomorrow night.

And then you're doing a basketball stars after dark fun event after the volleyball.

You can see the softball team play.

You can watch the baseball team, as you mentioned.

At the time, law enforcement seemed 100% convinced that this man was the perpetrator, but it's unclear if they still feel this way all these years later, and I have no further information about his background or if he's still alive today.

In spite of all the major setbacks she faced, Yvonne Lauterbach still attempted to put her life back together as she managed to earn a degree in general education at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield.

She hoped to launch a new career counseling other people who were in similar situations to her after having become seriously disabled at an older age, and when her graduation ceremony took place in 1990, she was brought on stage in her wheelchair before she stood up to accept her diploma.

As for the other survivor of the attack, Floyd Giddings, he also never fully recovered from his injuries as the blows from the axe damaged the speech and language center of his brain and partially paralyzed his right side.

But a really nice job.

I mean, we had an event out at Lincoln Land after a baseball thing, and some of the parents went, and all of a sudden we looked up, and we'd been there for five hours.

I mean, you could just get watching different games, and when one ends, another one starts, and they got plenty of food out there that's really good eats.

It's five local vendors.

So it just makes me glow when we start talking about the local kids that are making a mark and representing Springfield and the Springfield area.

I'd be remiss.

How's your son enjoying Lincoln Land and so on? As I told

you up here, they've told their mother that they are thriving.

Lincoln Land.

Really? And what did you do then? When did you realize this is what you wanted to do?

Well, I went to the military for a little while, and then when I came out of the Marine Corps, I ended up becoming a caretaker for my grandmother.

It's not a sports bar.

It's a restaurant and bar, but it's gonna be a sports theme, um, place where kids from UIS and Lincoln Land can go watch a game on TV, but I can sit there with my family at the same time and, and everybody can get along kind of a, kind of idea.

I went to Lincoln Land.

I got a business administration associate's, got a bachelor's from Illinois State, and then my MBA's from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

I did that on campus when I was living in Decatur.

in? Well, I tell you, my career was interesting.

I graduated from high school, didn't know what I wanted to do.

I decided to go to Lincoln Land.

It was great.
