Liberty North High School

Well, I have a very Midwestern story, also cow-related.

When I went to high school in Liberty North, it was right next to a cow field, and they actually had to buy some of the land to put the high school there, but the farmer just moved his fence, right? Yeah.

So the first year I was there, there was a cow that kept getting out of the fence line and the cow would just wander the parking lot.

And so we, there was one time we had to delay people leaving the school because there was a cow

meandering its way through the parking lot.

Well, Liberty North was really good at football that year.

And so, uh, somebody had bought a like stuffed cow and it was deemed the spirit cow that was brought to every single home football game.

And it is now the stuffed cow is now on the trophy case because living North went, we're like fourth and state that year.

So it's a veteran team, so even though they fell short last week, you kinda look to them to bounce back and, and get things going, and try to lock down that number one seed in their district.

But Lee's Summit's also coming off a loss to Liberty North, uh, so that should be a game where both teams are trying to get the ship righted and get the, their best position in a district that they are both in, along with Blue Springs South, Lee's Summit North, Columbia Hickman, and Columbia Rock Bridge, one of the best districts in the state.

But Blue Springs, definitely looking to bounce back.

Uh, personally, gotta shout out my niece.

Uh, she plays Liberty North's, uh, for Liberty North on the softball team.

Kennedy, she catches for them.

She was hitting third on Saturday.

Her only out of the day was a liner.

The third baseman had to make a diving catch for her, so she was just on fire at the plate.

Liberty North, uh, they dropped to Oak Park in extra innings, but fantastic time watching her play.

In the NFL, my brioche has to be Drake May.

This year they can throw it, and they like to throw it.

They were down 35-10 to Blue Springs South last week with four minutes to go in the third quarter and won 45-35, and he is a big reason of that.

Big athletic guy, you know, along with Jackson Prod is just a great dual receiver threat for Liberty North, and they are a dangerous team.

because they can throw it and come back from any deficit.

The Safari Sevens in Kenya runs October 9th to the 11th with a women's competition featuring three Kenya sides along Tunisia, Uganda, and the Costa Blanca Barbarians.

Lit Sevens is running a one-day Sevens camp in the United States on October 10th at Liberty North High School in Liberty, Missouri for ages 12 and up.

It costs $150 and includes a full day of coaching and development, a Lit Rugby Sevens tank top, lunch, and photos with Olympian coaches.

And in Argentina, a new edition of the Pseudo America Day 7 comes to Carlos Paz Rugby Club in Cordoba on October 10th and 11th, with fixtures and teams still to be announced.

You mentioned your Kearney 22-13 over Rockhurst.

Blue Springs 31-24 over Liberty North.

That was a good one right there.

As well as Ray Peck 34-28 over Lee Summit West.

Another one I'm looking at, Blue Springs taking on Lee's Summit West.

Lee's Summit West has had what I'd call a tumultuous start to the season, and Blue Springs has looked like one of the best teams in the area.

I'm excited to see what the Wildcats do on the road coming off that win against Liberty North at home.

They've had a really strong start to the season, only losses to Ray Peck.
