The thing is though is, so basically what happened, we were at GD last year and James Tarrow, bless him, came to dinner and he was like have you guys seen these plastics um and and i've had this conversation with many people before i'm like most of the time when new model ranges come out i'm like i'm not really interested in unless the quality of the kit's really good most of them are just not from a painting perspective and he pulled out the the one of the new plastic kits and we were like actually this is really good um and we thought you know what we should it'd be really cool if we had a we had a comp because we've been talking about the idea of having another top three style comp in the scene for quite a while because most new shows are open for yes what i completely understand um is a cost reason right not not because it's better for people right i'm just gonna put that out there um So we were like, oh, and we thought these, we thought the models were really cool.

So we thought, you know what, let's, I'll talk to him tomorrow and we'll see what happens.

And I went back in in the morning and I spoke to a guy called Jamie and I just basically pitched him this idea for a painting competition.
2:41
And I pitched him like, the biggest painting competition going right I didn't go in small being like oh we can do this little um we can do this little online painting competition or we can do it at the stand or anything like that I pitched him big like award ceremony trophies like prize support all sorts of stuff and he he just went you know what that sounds wicked let's do it And he just went, when you get back, send me an email.

I know they're funding it and everything and it needs to be somewhat in line, but it feels less like they're pushing a PR agenda and it actually just being a competition, that is.
