You're back in this story with lawyer turned producer Karina Burger investigating and trying to get some answers as to what happened to Ros.

Now, Ray McQueen has always denied any wrongdoing and denied it again to The Australian's Liam Mendes when he approached him on the outskirts of Melbourne just recently.

When I walk out of Supreme Court in Bendigo after the murder prosecutor was granted, I was advised by my legal team to not ever to speak to the media.

Okay.

He could not afford it anyway.

When my colleague at The Australian, Liam Mendes, spoke to the 73-year-old Ray McQueen shortly before the launch of this podcast series, Ray expressed a fear that he would be harmed by police if he gave us his side of the story now.

Here's how part of that conversation between Liam and Ray McQueen unfolded at a public car wash in Melbourne.

I just wanna talk about it, Ray.

Because I've been told if I do talk to the media, I will be dead meat.

There are pages of autopsy evidence and the results of toxicology tests showing that Roz McQueen died as a result of strychnine poisoning.

But when speaking to Liam Mendes, Ray McQueen suggested something very different.
