Mikayla Faye Byers was born on June 15th, 1993, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Michael Kevin Downs and Barbara Sue Harper.

She was raised in Lexington, Oklahoma, and graduated from Lexington High School in 2011.

She was described as a happy and bubbly individual who enjoyed music and loved to sing.

By the age of 30, Mikayla was living with her husband, Frank Byers, in McComb, Oklahoma, and was the adoptive mother to two kids and a stepmother to four young girls.
